OT: Saved a A1 Jetta

Sounds like it was the "knee bar" era.  They put the automatic shoulder
belts in (hooked to the door) and the knee bar was suppose to keep you from
moving forward (by hitting you knees on it???).  I had one in my 77 Rabbit.
Nice to have for a shelf to put stuff but I took it out for the space and
weight and went with the 3 point belt setup.
