Need help ASAP!

If you can manage to keep your cat, the TT DP itself is like $120 I think.
Sack up and do it - you'll be happier with the results. :)

> Well, just got my car from the garage. Here's the deal. The manifold has
tons of hairline cracks in it so any work on the dp will cause it to
crumble. The main problem does seem to be the downpipe afterall. I was
quoted at $800, but he said that's because he only does factory exhaust
replacement and suggested Midas or someone could possibly make a pipe. So,
it seems like I have the manifold from Michael Abatzis taken care of, but
now am in search for a downpipe. As much as I would love a nice TT one or
something, I'm a poor college student. Just to doublecheck, the dp goes from
the manifold to the rest of the exhaust right? The mechanic kept calling it
an engine pipe and I want to make sure it's the same part, since $800
compared to the $300 or so I've seen online seems hard to believe.

till I pulled the head off. If its making alot a noise definatly look in to
the down pipe. it usually fails at the flex joint and is replaceable with a
