20w-50 is not thick at all....it's only 20-weight.
Run any oil with "w" behind the first number. That 'w' stands for =
'winter'.

Subject: what oil to run in winter?

I'm going to change my oil today and I'm a little unsure of what =
weight to run as winter is aproaching. I'm located in south eastern KY =
so temps don't get all that low but we do get below freezing quite a =
bit. I have been running 20-50 becouse I had trouble with my oil =
light/buzzer coming on when the engine was hot. Should I continue to run =
the thickass oil?

  Anson
