OT: Sad drinking, driving, crashing

Last Sunday, a good friend of mine totaled his MK3 Gti.  He had a few 
beers watching the Packers.  Went to show a guy what his Gti can do. 
Got to red line in second in a turn at the crest of a hill about a 1'4 
mile from his house.  A car was coming the other way, he lifted off the 
gas, spun 3/4 around and slid across a yard.  The car kept sliding 
across the street into the next yard and broadside a light pole.  The 
frame is bent and the impact with the curb broke the rear hub off the 
car.  What a bad scene.
