Morals, Resentment, and ICBC

Hey folks

Well there's good and bad news. The good news is they found my car.
Finally, it's been 2 weeks. If it was gone for a few more days they would
have forgotten about it.

It was recovered with no damage. My drivers door didn't lock very securely
so that's probably how they got in. As for starting it, I'm not sure. But
it wouldn't be very hard, that's for sure. Anyways, none of this is the
problem.

When it got stolen it had a full tank of gas, and when it was recovered it
was completely empty. It takes a hell of alot of driving to empty a full
tank in that car. You could probably drive it for over 12 hours. The motor
doesn't sound very healthy, and the clutch is a little slippy. There seems
to be a bit of a crack in the exhaust manifold, so it's making more noise.

Needless to say, it's been abused. It must have been driven cold and hard
(I don't imagine the theives let it warm up every day). How do I prove
this to ICBC? They told me I have to take it to a garage and have the
garage prove to ICBC that something is broken directly because it's been
abused. But really, there's no way to prove that it was any better before,
so I probably won't get anything, and it'll cost me at the garage to have it
looked at. I'm considering just firing it up cold and revving the shit out
of it to at least create some kind of a problem.

See there isn't one thing that is defenately broken, rather it's that
everything is worn down more and hurting. So, what should I do? Break my
motor and have ICBC buy me a 2.0L with a new clutch? Or forget about the
whole thing?

Thanks list
