How to have longer lasting motor mounts.

as a data point (rieger):
early last year, new rubber mounts all around except for a poly front, no
splitting anywhere, and thats with some hard driving/auto-x/even burnouts at
waterfest last year (i did em behind the hotel, before everyone started
gathering on the strip). no vibration at all, even with the poly front. also,
the rieger is a daily, so it gets decent miles put on it. i recently put a vw
motorsports mount on the rear, made things a bit rough. i may go back to stock
if it keeps making my rear view mirror vibrate.
as far as diesel mounts go, i dont think they are any different than the stock
mounts anymore. didnt they all get combined into one mount part #?
