fuel filter and tie rod question

the tie rod end is ~$15 at www.germanautoparts.com, so $280 seems a
little high for a $70 alignment (which I do in my garage for $0) and a
$15 part with install.
both germanautoparts and potterman carry parts that aren't listed on
their sites, so it's worth it to call.
