Cats - new reply to old thread re: How much restriction can a Cat be?



Sorry man, couldn't resist!!  I think cats are probably the most restrictive
part of the exhaust since the exhaust has to go through the honeycomb type
piece where in mufflers or resonators they are straight through (for the
most part--I know mufflers sometimes wind around and sometimes have
fiberglass in them).  I know if you take the muffler/resonator off of a car
that has a cat it's not NEAR as loud as one without a cat.  HTH!!
