Single piece Speedo cable

data point, my first scirocco was a late 88 16v. had the single piece speedo
cable, no 'oxs' light in the cluster, a motometer speedo, and no upshift light
(temp in its place). i think that was one of the last few hundred cars that made
it into the US.
