Fuel pump fuse woes

HELP!@ I have an 87 16v and here's the stinkin problem:

ok two days ago my fuel pump fuse blew. I had a 30 in the slot at the time
and I had my stereo amp running through it. I replaced the fuse, made it to
work and was fine. Then on my way home from work the fuse blew twice more,
usually when going fast (around 65-80). I then unhooked the amp and hoped
that was the problem, well on the way to work today it blew two more times
without the amp hooked up. Im going nutz here as i dont always have 50 extra
fuses with me. Im down to a 20amp fuse now. I'll get more when I leave i
guess, but it is still a huge pain to have to pull over on highway, swap em
out then go on my way till it happens again....any insight would be
appreciated.

P.S. this happened about two months ago then just stopped happening till
now....what gives?
