clutch cable streching?

Has it "stretched" quite quickly? It may be pulling through the bulkhead.
Check that the bulkhead around the area where the clutch cable runs through
it isn't split or distorted.

So do clutch cables stretch? and that's why they need adjustment? Mine is a
manual adjusting one, and the metal adjustment part (with the plastic disk)
is almost to the end of the plastic part along the cable. Does this mean my
clutch cable is shot  or is there someplace else to adjust it?
