insurance questions...

Well I use Geico, the only insurance in Texas back in 1998 that would accept
me for insurance (been driving since 15 yrs old but only in USA since 1998
so they consider me as recent us driving) waiting to get 5 years under my
belt with them then I will probe with state farm...I hear they are very
good.

I get;

Liability ea. person 25,000
          ea. accident 50,000
Property damage liability 25,000
Personal injury protection 5,000
Uninsured/underinsured motorists coverage ea. person 20,000
                                         ea. accident 40,000
Uninsured motorist property damage 20,000

all that for 251$ (8v) , 274$ (16v).

what do actually get as insurance from state farm or other for the price you
pay?

=>Lyman-
=> I, too, have been quite happy with State Farm.
=>You might try using the same insurance as your parents, the agent just may
=>stretch the rules and cover your car under "same household" guidelines.
=>Another money-saving technique; get the highest deductible
=>possible.  Also,
=>get liability only; collision and theft can up the premium
=>considerably.  If
=>you don't get full coverage, you will, in effect, be insuring
=>yourself for C
=>and T.  That's what I do... and my insurance is about $175 a
=>year. (Course,
=>I'm a little older than you.....)
