It's really not hard to find resources. First off, I would strongly
urge you to learn PHP (http://www.php.org). Dreamweaver will write all
the basic HTML you want and basic HTML can be lerned in just a few
hours. PHP however is the way to have powerfull content driven
websites. PHP backed with MySQL (http://www.mysql.org) databases is
what the Net is turning to. Well that and Flash animated ads, splash
pages, net apps, etc.....

If you don't want to "learn" PHP but still want to use it, then
http://www.hotscripts.com is what you want. It is one of the best and
largest collections os ASP, CGI, PHP, XML and many other web
technologies there. They have links to resources and collections of
how-to's, complete scripts and just about eveything you will need.

To see what I'm talking about, go to my site, http://www.techography.com
and check out the weblog I use called Geek Log. Feel free to create and
account and look through it's features and see if it suits any needs you
may have.

As for what patric said about running your own server and all that good
stuff, well, it's not really that hard (sorry patric, no offence). You
can do it so long as you have broadband internet, just about any windows
OS and you register your domain with register.com and it can be very
easy. There are many simple webservers that have PHP support built in
that will install in seconds. So it can be done very easy and cheap,
but depending on what you want to do, it can get more difficult and
expsensive. As for web hosting, there are thousands of hosts, I'll go
ahead and pimp my host provider http://interserver.net , Just look
around and pick the one that best suits your needs. If I can asnwer any
other questions for you, just let me know.
