removal of fenders

hmm....well, the part of the housing that goes towards the outside of the
fender will not go in with the fender there, as there is a flare in that
side of the turn signal housing. I just can't sneak it around the fender as
the flare tucks behind the fender to hold it in place. Mine has two bolt
stubs coming out of the housing towards the battery and is held in place by
two 8mm nuts.

Jamie: What year rocco do you have? I think you are talking about the
corner lights
that wrap around the corner of the fender, with mine the fender goes around
the outside of the corner light. I have side markers on my car.....

but please correct me if i'm wrong......anyone with 75-77 that's replaced
their corner lights?

Yeah, like everyone here has said:

1) You shouln't need to remove the fender

2) If you do, I used a torch to remove the rubber seam
sealer from the rear attachment point on the fender.
I'll add that there is also a bolt way up there on the
top/back corner that is usually so deep under the
rubber that you don't see it!
