oil pressure sender location...

I used my dual sender on my head on my 8v (black tipped sender) and on the
16v I have one installed on the oil flange mount (white tipped sender)
and you know what... theyt both work just fine.

=>
=>Now here is where I get confused.
=>
=>The oil pressure sending unit (dual sender) is listed as having the gauge
=>sender (spade marked "G"), and a 0.3 BAR switch (unmarked spade).
=>
=>In the ETKA, it's supposed to replace the 1.8 BAR switch (WHITE). But the
=>actually switch I would think it should replace is the 0.25 BAR switch
=>(BLUE).
=>
=>Doesn't this make more sense since the switches are closer together in BAR
=>rating (0.3 - 0.25 vs 0.3 - 1.8)...

=>replace the
=>>sender (1.8bar) on the oil filter flange?
=>
=>yup, kind of-- you want to keep the sender in the front of the oil filter
=>flange, but move it to the position of the rear sender, where it
=>fits.  the
=>dual sender replaces the sender in the rear, except it wont fit.
=>so put it
=>in front where the other sender was. got it :) ?
=>
=>if yes is my sender a dual sender type (it's got two male spades for
=>connecting wires to it). any tip out there... also have a volt veter i'm
=>going to hook up, I'm guessing any switched 12v line will do...
=>
=>yeah, that's how i did it. it won't be as accurate as if you wired it
=>directly to the battery or alt (forget which), but who cares.
=>it'll give you
=>
=>a general idea. i spliced it into those wires that power the gauges.
=>

=>special fittings
