Lifter Evacuation

they don't pump up as well when warm, so there is more clearance b/t lifters
and cam than there should be (though there is probably a more technically
accurate answer...)

all together now--potterman or mark at adirondack. i got mine from mark for
~$130 for 16 (this is a 16v?). i don't know that i'd hesitate to replace
them with good used ones, but you might get into trouble, especially if you
mix and match...but i don't know.

should take maybe 1-2 hours if you've never done it. bentley is pretty
straightforward for this, but basically you'll need to remove your intake
manifold and cylinder head cover. then you'll need to remove the cams,
remove the old lifters and replace (that part's easy) with a magnet of some
sort, and put the cams back in. hardest part is getting the cams back
aligned--might take a few tries. again, bentley is real good about this, and
it sounds harder than it is. if you take it to cincy, someone'll give you a
hand, but you should be able to do it yourself without too much trouble.
