financial tally on our cars

Here's my calculations- most of the non-engine work was done by my
personal mechanic and myself at a greatly reduced cost. All the engine
work has been Re-done by Momentum's crew, because I know their
reputation and willingness to stand behind their finished product.

Engine: 250

Transmission: 1200 (inc. quaiffe and final drive 0f .72)

Paint: 1500 (thats minus 1000 for a year of use)

Front spoiler: 300 (perfect match to paint)

Wheels/ tires: 1300

Stereo: Kenwood excelon MP3 700

speakers: Polk momo series 6.5's seperates (600) Boston acoustic up
front 125

Alpine 4 channel: 250

Boston competiton 10 sub boxed: 125

Machinist work: 4000

Engine components 4000 (easily) includes items like 90 amp alt, sds
digital fuel mngmnt, Badger tb setup, cams, arp fastners, etc etc. This
is a LONG list of niggly parts.

Install by Momentum for assurance of perfect harmony throughout (2500)

16V disc brake upgrade to rear: 250

Car itself prior to work: 900
Came completely rust free with a substantial undercoating in place
(still) and a pristine 81s interior w/ black dash, black bolstered seats
in the grey fade stripes that still could pass for modern, nice white
headliner intact, etc.

HR 16V sport springs plus A-arm replacements: 500

Sacks sport Clutch: 250

WOW, Ive spent 18,750 in three years (most of it in the last 6 months)
on this car! And ive done nothing to the interior yet.

There is NO way i'd recoup that from it's sale. Maybe I should have
just bought an S2000.

:^)
