I Promise...



I did mine two weeks ago and ran into the same problem (well, my Lowe's
vise didn't break).  I put the old mount on the bench, the new mount and
bracket on top and hammered it the last little bit.  I did use some
grease between the new mount and the bracket.  Just make sure you get
all of the grease off the rubber parts before you put it back in your
car.
