[OT] Rally rules

it's not that I'm being cheap, I just can't see shelling out $30 now that
I'm goin to have to spend again at the end of the year. I'm just looking for
insight on the classes and the rules defining those classes. I think that if
I had a bit more information about the organisation of the events, I may be
better equipped to make a decision on wether or not to even go in to this
thing seriously or not. If I do decide to get into it, I will be getting a
membership to SCCA, and I will be buying the books and all other info that I
can get off them regarding the sport. I was just hoping to be able to drag
up some inside info to help me decide wether or not to even go through with
the entire thing!

I have been involved with a number of very poorly done sporting events, and
honestly, if I'm going to spend $300 for 3 days of getting to drive my car
around and not much else, I think I'd take a pass thanks. but if I find that
the rules/guidelines are good/fair, and I can see a place that I fit into
them, then by all means, I'll be the first to sign up and put my money on
the table. I just want to be able to make an informed decision.
