I had not one but two TT springs bust on me a couple of months ago, nearly
trashing my head.  Another local non-lister Scirocco owner had one give out
on him just before me.. and a local tuner of the "highest regard" told me he
had 2 recent customers who had had failures, including one VR6 set.  There
was a lengthy thread on Vortex a while back telling stories of many more
failures, but I can't vouch for the validity of any of those.

Proceed with caution here... hopefully they've changed suppliers by now and
this problem is a thing of the past, but I don't know how you'd verify it
as TT was pretty much stonewalling customers and denying that there was
a widespread problem.. and only offering a replacement set of springs
as "compensation" to those of us who suffered the consequences.
