The 2.0 lives - The End (...or is it just the beginning?)

Late last night, after a little prodding from Tobias, I decided to take =
the car out because it had been on the ground since early Monday morning =
and I hadn't even gotten to drive it yet. So I made sure I let it cool =
sufficient and then took it out.

All I can say is WOW! Two enthusiastic thumbs up on the butt-dyno! The =
powerband is useable all the way through.

The 2.0 really kicks ass! And that's with my stock cams - I can't begin =
to imagine what it does with a hotter set!

And you know what? After 20 minutes of spirited driving, the temp needle =
barely got past the 1/3 mark...WTF?! But, I am definitely not =
complaining.

I was quite worried and nervous though this morning because in order to =
get to my current jobsite, I have to drive over the San Mateo bridge. =
For you listers not familiar with the Bay Area, the SM bridge is a =
13-mile behemoth with no shoulders! So if I broke down, a significant =
portion of the Bay Area would now about it!

But, knock on wood, it ran fine all the way here.

On side note, the DFQ tranny so far really works well for freeway =
driving!
