Marc,
I have also heard that the Fox manifold is a better choice because =
it flows better and is already ported to accept the larger TB.
I also was concerned about moving the cold start valve to the end =
(stock Scirocco location). The aluminum at the end of the Fox manifold =
can't be more than 1/8 inch thick, barely enough to tap let alone hold =
the valve. The stock threads are at least 3/4 inch thick.=20

  I have spoken to a couple people about this...using the Audi/Fox =
manifold is good except for the position of the cold start valve...there =
are two options here, move the cold start valve to the end of the intake =
or cut a hole in rain tray. The issue with moving the CSV to the end of =
the manifold is that normally the CSV is piggybacked with the aux air =
regulator thingie port. On a VW style manifold they are both at the end =
of the mani and on the Audi/Fox they are both next to the throttle body. =
This insures that the additional fuel is mixed with the additional =
air...separating these two seems like a bad idea. VW must have done it =
that way for a reason, right?

    Jeffrey,
When you find the TB which method are you planning on using to =
install it? Are you going to port the stock Scirocco 8v intake or are =
you going to source an Audi 4000 intake? There is a tech procedure =
describing both methods at the Scirocco.org pages.

What has worked the best for everyone?
