So $38 per set, $5 shipping per set=43 bux. $129. so yep, 2-3x with stock
for 1 set of arp.

My reasoning, I plan to build this motor to rev high, balanced to .5 gr,
ported, cammed, and someday i might put it in an honest to goodness race
car (i like rally, how bout you?) Guess i just figured better fasteners
was a cheap investment, i'd hate to throw a rod & wonder if the extra $70
would have saved me, or have some silly problem where the engine gets torn
down 1 or 2x more... that and i can inspect rod bearings without buying
new bolts if the mood strikes me :) just drop the pan, remove rod
caps, inspect and retorque.

You are right though, most of the time stock is fine, but i figured i'm
trying to go far beyond stock, so it was worth it to me for peace of mind.

take care,

Steve
