6spd tranny?

all right guys, pulled the tranny out and got her cleaned up a little. nice
lookin tranny, half black and half steel. i didn't see any "vle" number, the
numbers on the tranny are AGB 05017
                                        4
thats exactly how they appear. on the end that stuck into the wheel well is
stamped option-6. any ideas or recognition? also, the head on this motor
appears to be "shorter" then the stock heads we have sitting around, but
it's got the standard vw made in germany stamps. any ideas?
