ranting and raving lunatic speach within, read at own risk

Waiddaminnit!

In three years you barely spent 3K on the car. Not bad
for *any* car, IMHO. Last year, you decided to go
"whole-hog" on performance/appearance upgrades and
spent $8k, and now you're complaining?

You also didn't mention your Prowler Orange paint job
or the Kamei kit. It looks swell, and I remember
following your progress. That must have been a pretty
heavy part of the 2001 bill. Like I said, it looks
great, and I'm personally glad you did it, but you
can't honestly say it was really necessary, can you?

If anyone around here has ever looked into what it
costs to "customize" any other car for performance or
appearance, they know that Sciroccos and Rabbits are
_dirt_cheap_. The only things cheaper are Mustangs and
Camaros, 'cause there's such a huge market of
mullet-sporting rednecks for them. Looked into what a
Honda or Subaru suspension package costs? How about a
setup for an A4 chassis VW? NOT CHEAP! BMW, Audi, or
Porsche of any vintage? Fogettabouddit! Before you get
yourself in a bundle and throw your car away, think
about the alternatives. Even when you're having a run
of bad luck (as I am currently too), these cars are
still a lot of fun for very little money.

(BTW, this is supposed to make you feel better!)
