What about the port? was: Do these things work?



After reading Allyn's and PB's comments, sketching, and visualising, I have
to reverse my former position on this.  If the interface (the plane of the
joint) is on a near-perfect radial line from the center of radius, an
insertion of a straight section will not appreciably alter airflow, other
than to add to the 'tuned length'.
They are correct, I was not.
