tranny swap

(1) make sure donor tranny has correct "L" shaped bracket from an A1 chassis 
car
(2) get a circlip removal tool to remove drive flanges if they need 
swapping.  plus you should replace the drive flane seals before you put it 
in.
(3) consider replacing clutch/pressure plate/etc
(4) wire up backup light switch if the one on the donor tranny is different

thats all I can think of.
