To those of you who missed the autox...

...which was just about everybody...

A good general turnout, a record for the club, 105 cars IIRC of which
36 were novices.

Only myself and Big Al Malventano (he of the Kawasaki Green Rieger)
ran. I mid-packed DSP (first time in this class, first time on race
tires, no idea of pressures, more excuses to come...) while Big Al did
himself proud in Novice, taking 7th of the 36 in the first autocross
he'd ever seen much less ran in. He finished behind a reasonably
well-driven Corvette amongst other very capable cars. One was a Turbo
VR6 Cabby, which would light up the tires in plumes of smoke any time
it was floored. Impressive, but still only a few hundreds faster than
Al.

Other listers who showed up to spectate were Colin Iforgotyourlastname
from nearby Fairfield, Ohio (whom Patrick mistakenly followed Sat night
getting butt-lost in the process), and Josh UrGTI from Minnesota, who
made us a deal on some FF trannies before departing Northward.

All in all, a long, hot, fun day. Al's ate up on autocross now, and he
shows promise, folks, he really does.
