Major clutch mishap!! Need InstyHelp!!!!

If there's nothing rattling around in your bellhousing I doubt that's where
the problem is. When my pressure plate straps let go it sounded like I was
dragging a trash can under the car. So, I would think if anything was loose
in there you'd know it.
I'd be willing to bet that the clutch lever that pushes on the TO bearing
has failed. These have been known to crack then turn on the splines. Easy to
check and replace by popping off the green cover on the end of the
transmission.
I can't think of anything else that is likely to fail without making alot of
noise with the engine running.
