Twisted Rods, was Re: 2.0 16V pricing



In cases of hydraulic lock I have seen rods get bent along their length, but
there is no way to twist one that I can imagine.

With round pistons there isn't any place to apply twisting force to a
con-rod without seriously tweaking the crankshaft, like well outside the
block. And even if you did, there is nothing keeping the piston end from
rotating right along with it.

I would think at that point con-rods would be the least of your worries.
