oil temp sensor

i need to know where to mount this on the car.  i cant
put it on the oil cooler, there is no space or is
there.  this is an autometer electrical guage.  i
thought about using the place on the side of the head
where the stock sendor was but when i took that out of
the head i found out that it is a coolant passage and
wont be accurate for the oil temperature.  any ideas?
