am i better than my timing light? -need fairly fast response btw!

Rob,
Set your cam and ingition timing to the specs and then check your idle. 
 If everything lines up pretty close you should be able to get it.  One 
thing, make sure all your marks are lined up after you put tension on 
the timing belt, when I installed my new JH I had to set the marks off a 
little bit so when I tightened up the belt it pulled everything together.
