how much gas could a pump pump if a pump could pump gas?

The root problem is that Im dealing with a shop that rates its pumps on a
gallon per hour basis, yet I cant find anybody that knows what a scirocco
set up pumps per hour..

Not a whole lot compared to a big V8:)

Okay, not a good answer, but think of this. With F/I cars, the name of the
game is pressurized volume, not straight volume. They will provide about 70+
psi, but not a whole lot of volume due to the lower flow rate of the in-tank
pump. Get that uprated, in volume, and the main pump will presurize that
larger volume for ya.
