[TECH] Starting a 2.0 16v



Jason-
  You also need fuel (in the proper amount) and compression (also in the
proper amount).
If you are dealing ONLY with the electrical component of the starting
"equation", please disregard the above.

 I believe the engine will start and run without power to the alternator.
If you are considering the coil separately, then you must consider the
distributor also.
