[TECH] Starting a 2.0 16v

Let me think here...

In order to start my car I need:

Power to the following components:
Starter
Coil
Motronic Computer
Alternator

My questions are these: 

Are these the only components needed to start the car?
Is there a way to wire these components without messing with the fuse
box? (It totally confuses me big time!)

Here's my idea:

Run +/- wires from the battery to the interior.
Run wires from there to the particular parts listed above (with properly
fused link)

Wire ignition so it can be used to close the circuit hence starting the
car.

I figure that the sensors and crap can be hooked up after it is started.

I am dreaming aren't I?
