So, you're asking for opinions. Everyone's got one, and here's mine.

As you know I'm in California too, and since you mentioned California =
I'm assuming that you're somewhat concerned with passing a smog check. I =
run the Autotech cams in my car. Now I know the reputation that Autotech =
has and from what I've heard, they really have a problem with their 8V =
cams. That reputation has spilled over into the 16V cams, but I don't =
really think that it is warranted. I have first hand passed California =
smog check with these cams. The performance on these is really good too. =
I can pull hard all the way up to the 7200 rpm rev limiter with them. =
Just like every other cam upgrade out there, you lose a little bit of =
low end with them, but you really make it up in what you gain from 3500 =
on up to 7200. Top summarize:

Pass smog check with them -- Good
$400 instead of more -- Good
Performance -- Good
Reputation -- Bad

I'd suggest that you buy them through The good ol' Potterman so that if =
you ever have a warrantee problem with them, he will be on your side to =
get them replaced.

Now I'm thoroughly confused - I was going to go with the Autotech =
sport set, but they're getting dis'd left and right on the Vortex. Then =
I thought about the euro intake and I find out that they're in limited =
supply and I'd be lucky to find one.

I also thought about going with a split Schrick or Kent setup, but =
they're pretty damn pricey and nowhere near smog legal. Can't imagine it =
would be that much of a problem taking em out every two years, but Kents =
are $600 after core and schricks are in the neighborhood of $800!

I guess for the money versus the bang, the euro intake wins?? What's =
you take?

  TIA, JT
