Transmission question

Sorry if I am asking (I can be very dense in the mornings..)

So I would get a 8v clutch kit but I could use a 16v pressure plate?
would that not wear out the 8v clutch faster?

Patrick
(trying to understand what to do to this 9a tranny)

=>The input shaft is bigger in 16V transmissions.
=>The 16 V clutch disc has a bigger hub to match the larger larger tranny
=>input shaft. The 8V and 16V discs are not interchangeable.
=>The clutch pressure plate is also stronger for the 16V, but the two are
=>physically interchangeable.
