[Re: Silly Questions time: Cargo covers and spewing NOS?]

They're purging air out of the lines. Its a racing performance thing. =

Plus it looks really really cool!

Uh, you obviously havent been on this list very long. VW's are just as
prone to any other vehicle to have mechanical problems X, Y and Z. =

However, having them buy a VW might allow you to diagnose their problem
although symptoms are commonly similar between all vehicles. =

My advice is always to buy a NEW car and they wont have the problems
associated with a 14 year old car. Comes with the territory. Ill keep all=

my old cars I can usually fix all my old cars for what it would cost to
register a single -new- car in this state! =

Disagree with ya there - the tows on our CAA card got used up with the ne=
w
cars, the 99 had the main power relay go (and broke down again on Saturda=
y,
nothing big, just annoying), and the 01 has a second tranny in it. So, no=
, new
ones are not foolproof. The 01 is a low mileage DC product, and the Rocc =
is
the one that deserves to have a broken tranny, it's been driven really ha=
rd at
the drags and has tons of miles on it. Not that it has been trouble free =
by
any means. Cars will cost you time and/or money no matter how you slice i=
t. I
think the best case scenario is shown by the folks on this list, have an =
old
one that you enjoy driving (and fixing)!
