oil light flashes



Steve,
Don't forget another benefit of running thinner oil...less drag on 
reciprocating components.
I wouldn't do this with conventional oil tho'.
I was running 5W30 Mobil 1 synthetic for about 6mo. in the TT motor with no 
obvious ill effects.
I finially switched back to 10W30 M1 just to reduce the amount of wear.
It is not for everyone and probably increases wear and temps but for 
someone looking for that last bit of performance......
As far as daily driving and longevity I agree with VW's #'s.
