thermostat question

actually you put a 1/8" hole in the plate of the thermostat on installation
to permit faster evacuation of air bubbkles while the thermostat is still
closed during the start of the "waitting to burp the colant"

Subject: thermostat question

Was it the list that I read something about drilling a hole in the
thermostat to let a little coolant through? What is the reason for doing
this? Just wanted to know before I put my thermo in. Thanks.
