Buying a Roc...

Add a ground to the engine (from battery to ground tie point at rear of =
intake manifold), will probably start right up.

hey everyone! i am seriously thinking about buying another 16v that a =
guy has for sale for $500. he says it needs a new battery and starter =
cable. he also mentioned that it had a cold start problem at times. the =
clock stopped at 121,000; he claims he has only put on 3-400 miles. any =
ideas on what the cold start could be? its not too local for me (about 3 =
hours away) but i am desperate for a mode of transportation (i have a =
froze engine right now in my current 16v) so i can't check it out in =
person. what other things should i check out when i am there or what =
spare parts should i bring with me? i am paranoid about getting suck =
somewhere so i will bring a transfer pump and other various parts like =
that. yeah, probably over kill, but classes start tomorrow and i have no =
car!!=20
