intake manifold coatings. outcome



Here are some pictures of how mine came out. Again, I did this almost two
years ago and aside from a few nicks here and there, the paint is holding up
really well. Most people think the parts have been powder-coated. I
definitely agree that you must start with a very clean and de-greased part
to get a good and long-lasting result. Also, the stuff that I used had
directions to bake the parts at  high temperature for certain periods of
time to achieve their highest heat ratings of 1200 degrees. I think you
could do it in a standard house oven at 500 degrees, but I didn't take that
route.
