Replacing a self adjusting clutch cable

self-adjusting cables are for people who don't go in that magical place
under the hood (ready for flames). If you're like most of us, you'll want to
be able to control just about everything that goes on in your
car....therefore, you'll need a manually adjustable cable.

now, as for change-out.....no biggie, prop the clutch arm up, remove old
cable, unclip form pedal. Installation is reverse of removal. You'll have to
weave it through slightly differently to make it fit. Adjust to taste. Enjoy
on street.

Subject: Replacing a self adjusting clutch cable

I have a bad self adjusting clutch cable. It seems that everyone wants to
replace these with the manual ones. So, I have two questions:

1) Why don't people like the self adjusting cables?

2) What's involved in replacing it with a manually adjustible cable?
