[electrical] I keep having a 'shocking' experience...

Nothing wrong with your car... it has to do with the tire
composition.. newer rubber formulations are more efficient, but have a
side-product of building up a static charge.  The charge dissapates
quickly when it's humid, but sticks around when it's dry.  you can buy
grounding straps that hang from your chassis and touch the ground, or you
can try holding the door frame as you get out.
