Gearbox woes - update & further question

Hmm, I was beginning to think that. I was actually going to repost my 
question I wasn't sure if the message had made it to the list or not - I 
seemed to drop off it for a couple of days, so my apologies if I haven't 
replied to anyone. On the positive side, my starter seems to be a happy 
bunny again after regreasing the main shaft at both ends and working some 
grease up the part of the shaft the bendix slides on. One less problem to 
worry about.
