Crazy Thing Happened Today

I beg to differ larry.

I have a block heater on my Golf...it has NO pump, mounts by the oil
cooler connections, and if I leave the heater valve open hot coolant DOES
make it to my heater core...and quickly! (did some testing when I first
got it). It works because of thermodynamic "draw" or convection. If you
rapidly cool one area (IE the heater core) the cold coolant will quickly
exit drawing in hot coolant that in turn gets cooled. Now it isn't a fast
enough process to handle daily driving, but in conditions of near overheat
it DOES make a difference and can help you make it to a *safe* place to
get off the road.

I am done with this subject....disgusted that someone was called an idiot
over this when all he was looking for was some help. And some of us have
had experiences similar and have WATCHED THE HEATER TRICK WORK.

Enough said.
