Buying lights while in Europe?

you will have to get the lights from the VW dealer,
the turnsignals can be obtained from a HELLA store too.
they're about 30 Euro there.

Although the high beams and the main beams are also from Hello,
you can't buy them directly from Hella, at least not as a private customer.

However, I don't suggest to go for new ones, as they're quite expensive.

prices from my local VW dealership ( updated 31/01/2002 ):
German sales tax ( 16% ) included

1 Euro mainbeam : 90 Euro ( 2 needed for a setup )
1 Euro highbeam : 53 Euro ( 2 needed for a setup )
1 Euro turnsignal : 35 Euro ( 2 needed for a setup )
1 alignment screw : 2.5 Euro ( 12 needed for a setup )
1 bracket : 22 Euro ( 2 needed for a setup )

Euro into US$ ? 1.00 EUR = 0.870396 USD

friendly Greetings !
Dirk

Subject: Buying lights while in Europe?

This just in. Going to the Netherlands in six weeks
for the wife's family reunion. Last time there things
were too hectic to check on the parts scene. This time
is slated to be more leisurely. So if I go walking
into the nearby VW dealer, will they have the European
style lights or will I need to find some auto parts
store? I will be looking for stuff for either the '85
or the '87.

PS: even after watching the movie "Fantastic Voyage",
I still can't drive my Jag.
