Will the Stock 16V tranny Support 225 HP?

Probably.
The things that generally break transmissions are shock loads. So, if you're
18 and think it's cool chirping your rubber going into second gear with 90
HP you will have a problem with 225. If you have so much power that the
tires are breaking loose just from the application of power, this will have
much smaller impact on transmission life than dumping the clutch and speed
shifting.
It goes without saying that as a minimum a bolt kit needs to be installed on
the ring gear.
