auto to manual tranny swaps

Posting for a friend:

Does anyone know anyone in the southern NH/northern MA area who is comfortable
doing an virgin A1 automatic to manual transmission swap?  He's picking up a 
fairly good condition 88 Cabriolet for $300 but it's an automatic and he'd
prefer a manual. He has access to various donor vehicles.
