drilling bottom of air box



"Ram Air" is something of a misnomer for most induction setups. Unless you 
are going 300mph with a large area intake funnel- there really won't be much 
supercharging effect.

COOL air induction does work, as Scott has already mentioned. The combination 
I run in the summer is an Audi 5000 dual snorkle intake mated to the Scirocco 
16V airbox. The dual tubes have a large surface area, and can be oriented to 
just barely clear the bottom of the battery tray- (unlike a single tube of 
equivilent area). The Audi part will snap right onto the Rocco box like it 
was meant to be- no glue,tape or railroad spikes required...

Good, cheap "junkyard find"...
